Vista Explorer lets you do just that... July 30, 2010 A. George (Umatilla, Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Vista Explorer tripod is a good buy. Tilt and pan head works smoothly. The tripod is sturdy but light weight. The only negative was the carrying case zipper broke on the very first use and I just threw the bag away. Otherwise, everything was as advertize
Awesome Buy For a Newbie =) July 24, 2010 Jessica 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a beginner at digital photography and just bought my first camera as well as accessories like this to improve my skills. After lots of research, I decided to buy this tripod and I am so glad I did. It is well made at an awesome price! I also love how compact and lightweight it is for travel. I saw that other customers said it didn't come with instructions, but mine did. Maybe they just started doing that, I don't know, but I didn't even need to look at them. It is very simple to figure out how to use.
I HIGHLY recommend this product!!!
Good tripod July 13, 2010 D. Liu (San Jose, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First time buyer of tripod. Too many out there. Just pick this one based on previous review and price and looking and function. This one is extendible in leg height, very convenient to carry and use.
decent tripod June 28, 2010 PrincessP 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this tripod to support some heavy astronomy binoculars and they do the job just fine so far. We've only used them on a flat surface (patio) so I can't say how they'd do on rough terrain, but worked fine for our purpose of backyard sky-gazing. We will use it for our camera as well, so that is a bonus!
Perfect little tripod, great value June 20, 2010 R. Pick (Baltimore, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased this tripod over a year ago for use with our SLR and HD video cameras. It is surprisingly well-built for the price and offers all the maneuverability we were looking for. It's fully extended height is remarkable for such a small package. Adjustments are straightforward, though some care needs to be taken to get things "just right" so that you can pan or sweep smoothly when needed. It works with our relatively heavy digital SLR as well as it does with our very light HD video and small point-and-shoot. It collapses to an tight, small package. The carrying bag is handy and keeps things neat.
We have used this to video an outdoor graduation (on uneven ground...it leveled perfectly), an indoor wedding and lots of still shots in-between. While not as super solid as much more expensive professional-grade tripods, it is perfect for the amateur or pro-am user who needs a reliable, well-built and feature-appropriate tripod.
Excellent value for the dollar.
