Our old DVD player died and we wanted an inexpensive, reliable, simple to use replacement. This is it. Love it. So easy to set up and so simple to operate. The sound is fine and we are totally happy with it.

I bought this DVD player when my old was not working well. The price and size of the player were right. I struggled to set up the audio. The instructions are not clear, I just kept trying all the options until something finally worked. The player worked okay for about three months. Last week the audio worked on some DVDs, but not all. Now I have no audio on DVDs that worked last week. I have tested my connections and the are fine. I'm again looking at setup instructions. I tried several combinations without success. When I get home from work I want to pop and DVD in to watch, not struggle with the audio setup on my player. Sony needs to make setup easier.

Needed a compact player...we have other Sony components and this seemed the logical choice...simple to use and is well designed...Who knows why most DVD players are so wide...like a box of corn flakes...a lot of air...
